My wife doesn't bake much but she has a few tricks up her sleeves. Let me explain with a story that is most likely true if not in detail:
A few Thanksgivings ago I was doing my usual kitchen chores chopping up Brussels sprouts mashing potatoes simmering gravy and flipping birds literally and figuratively.
