Saving money doesn't always take a lot of effort, but sometimes you just need to know some money saving strategies. In this video I share 15 easy ways to save money.

1. Gas Buddy

Gasbuddy is an app that tells you where the cheapest gas is in your area. If you download the app and use it before filling your gas tank, you can save up to 50 cents per gallon of gas.

2. Buy a water bottle and take it everywhere

Water is a completely unnecessary expense that many people will spend hundreds of dollars per year on. If you buy a reusable water bottle and take it everywhere you go, it's an easy way to save money.

3. Ditch the Paper Towels

Paper towels are a completely unnecessary expense that people spend hundreds of dollars a year on. If instead of using paper towels, you use rags to clean items in your home, it's a very easy way to save money.

4. Don't buy soda in restaurants

Eating out is expensive and it's even more expensive when you buy sodas. If you simply cut out soda and drink water when you eat out, it can save you 10% on your bill.

5. Pay with cash to avoid the tip screen

Everywhere, you are now asked for a tip, called /"Tipflation./". While tipping bartenders and servers is important, tipping anywhere can really add up. One way to avoid the pressure is to pay cash at places that typically charge tips.

6. Get a case for your sunglasses

Many people buy several pairs of sunglasses every year because they don't take good care of them. If you buy a case for your sunglasses and get into the habit of putting them in the case, it can save you money.

7. Get Lower MBPS on Your Internet

Internet companies typically charge in /"mbps/" and this number can be very misleading. Having a higher Mbps means you can run multiple devices without it slowing down. For a family of 4, 200-400 Mbps works well and for two people with 100 Mbps, it works well.

8. Get your own modem and router

Another way Internet companies get extra money from you is to charge you monthly fees for your router and modem; however, this is not necessary. If you buy your own modem/router, it's an easy way to save money.

9. Don't eat meat twice a week

One of the most expensive things people spend money on at the grocery store is meat. If you decide to go vegetarian two days a week, you can save money on the high price of meat.

10. Go to the grocery store only once a week

Many people go to the grocery store several times a week, causing them to spend money on gas and buy items they didn't intend to buy. If you do all your shopping once a week, you can save money.

11. Switch to Mint Mobile

Mint mobile is a cell phone company that uses the T-Mobile signal which only costs $15 per month. The problem with the service is that it's second in signal priority, so your signal may cut out when you're in a crowd. If you're willing to put up with some inconvenience throughout the year, you can save money.

12. Bring sandwiches to work for lunch

Many people eat out every lunch for work, which can add up to thousands of dollars throughout the year. If you take the time in the morning to prepare your own lunch, it can save you thousands of dollars.

13. Pay with a cash back credit card

If you have the self-control to pay off a credit card at the end of the month and not carry a balance, you can earn hundreds of dollars a year from your credit card cash back rewards.

14. Create a queue of books in your library

Books can be expensive if you are an avid reader. If you create a queue of books on hold at your local library, you can enjoy the books without spending money.

15. Go to the gym three times a week

Although going to the gym takes effort, it is far less effort than most people expend on health care services. If you simply go to the gym three days a week for one-hour sessions, it can save you a lot of money.
