Method 1. Add HEIF Image Extensions
HEIF image extension allows Windows 10/11 to read and write HEIC photo format without hardware support.
1. Visit the Microsoft store.
2. Search for HEIF image extensions, click Get to download and install them on your computer.
3. Open File Explorer to try. After installing this extension, you will find that it will display HEIC image thumbnails. Double-click them to open them with the Photos app.

Method 2. Convert HEIC Files to JPG
Another easy way is to use the free FoneTool to directly convert HEIC files to JPG or other formats. Now I'm going to show you how to do it.
