About the city: Stab's Guide to the Sunshine Coast

Welcome to the first episode of About Town, a new series from Stab and Summer Bright in which we enthusiastically explore the most vibrant pockets of Australian surf culture. We all love road trips or weekend getaways; It’s the Australian surfing dream. And if you live in Oz, there's no reason for you to look beyond its shores.

Stab and Summer Bright wanted to unlock the secrets of what makes some of our favorite surf towns great: where to get coffee, where to surf, where to jump, who to watch out for in the queue, where to dine, where to enjoy a little foam after surfing, and much more. And of course, we used local professionals to be our hosts.

We chose little-documented surf towns. For our first episode, we skipped Coolangatta, as wonderful as it is, and instead looked further north to its lesser-known cousin, the Sunshine Coast.
