Not only does Aldi stock tons of wine but it’s also known for selling award-winning bottles. Aldi has sold countless award-winning wines from around the world many of which have won silver medals. However there have also been gold medal winners on the company’s roster such as the 2014 vintage of William Wright Vintner’s Reserve Pinot Noir. Unfortunately this wine has since become quite hard to find but Aldi still sells several other gold medal wines including one white wine two red wines and one specialty wine.

The highest-scoring wine Aldi offers online is 3 Rein's Red Blend but the company's website boasts award-winning wines in all categories including specialty reds whites rosés and more. Many of these wines have been awarded silver awards with point scores in the high 80s.

Currently Aldi has four award-winning wines that scored 90 points or higher earning them a gold medal. 3 Rein Red Blend is the highest-scoring wine earning a total of 92 points from the Beverage Testing Institute. This wine also won Best New Product for Red Wine from USA under $25 in a customer survey and Newsweek’s Best New Product 2024 as voted on by consumers. Not only is it the highest-scoring but it also has the most awards of any wine Aldi currently sells. It comes from the Columbia Valley wine region in Washington State and has been described as a perfect pairing with pasta. Another great thing about this wine is that it is one of the types of wines that pairs well with fish due to its lower tannin content.
