We're on our way to our next destination but I wanted to share some quick snapshots from our few days in Amsterdam… (we had a little glitch with the photos of Berlin I'll share those later).
A lot of readers voted Cafe Winkel as the best apple pie in Amsterdam… (thanks readers!) It was the perfect stop while walking through the city on a cold and rainy afternoon. And it did not disappoint – it’s not as pastry-like as American apple pie… it was more like a cross between a pie and a cake. Which I loved because well I love cake.
Two nights ago we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We had a lovely dinner at Balthazar's Keuken and a walk along the canals… they are just beautiful at night.
