If you're having trouble connecting to Apple Pencil, try these solutions:
1. Reboot by holding down Power Volume down until you see Swipe to Power Off, then release the buttons. Then swipe to turn off the iPad and hold down the power to turn it back on.
2. Go to Settings, General, Transfer or reset iPad, Reset, Reset network settings.
3. Use another charging cable. Your charging cable must support data transfer. The official Apple cable is recommended.
4. If all else fails, your Apple Pencil needs to be imported into Apple. If there is no visible damage to the Pencil, Apple should replace it for free
