– Oud & Lute – King of Instruments –
The origin of the oud belongs to ancient times and similar instruments were used by the Babylonians and ancient Egyptians. Until today, the oud is played as the “king of instruments” in Arab culture.
The oud found its way to Europe in medieval times and became known as the "lute". During the Renaissance, the lute was also considered the "king of instruments".
