Dinner was split into a cocktail hour followed by a 5 course meal. After the salad seeing the looks on the guests faces we discussed a 7th inning stretch and they happily jumped at the idea.

To be honest they weren’t exactly thrilled with the idea. They slowly made their way to the living room for a lively conversation about everything from food and wine to a guest’s tours of Iraq to the lack of cursive handwriting in public schools and so on.

After everyone had a chance to sit down we went back to the table for the main course. That was and still is just two days later one of my favorite dishes: delicious fried chicken with a sauce of your choice.
