I recently traveled to Bali, Indonesia for a week!
Here is the full detail of the entire trip! ️

Fun fact: 1 Indian rupee is equal to 187 Indonesian rupees; it is therefore a country that you can consider even on a limited budget!

– Flights and Visa: Indonesia has visa on arrival for Indians and is available for 35 people. Also, there are no direct flights to Indonesia from India. I took a flight from New Delhi to Denpasar Airport, Bali with a stopover in Vietnam.

– Stay: I visited 3 places in Bali including Ubud, Sideman and Canggu. I booked Airbnbs in all three locations. I didn't consider hostels for this trip or hotels, as Airbnbs in all three locations were available at extremely affordable rates and catered to all price points. In 2 of the 3 Airbnbs, we even had access to private swimming pools.

– Food: Food prices need to take into account two things: I'm vegetarian and I don't consume alcohol, so prices could increase significantly if you change the food options. Indonesia has many food options for vegetarians and vegans. Personally, I found the food a bit bland but that's totally subjective. However, the selection of fruits and vegetables is a huge advantage.

– Experiences and Transportation: This includes all the sightseeing tours and scooters/taxis we rented. Most tourist spots have a small entrance fee – whether it's a monument or a waterfall. Apart from this, scooters can also be rented at a very low price. The majority of my expenses here came from intercity travel between Ubud, Sideman and Canggu, where we had to hire taxis.

Some additional points to consider if you visit Bali:
– I have not done any water sports like scuba diving, so these costs do not include that.
– High-speed Wi-Fi is available for free in literally every cafe!
– Souvenirs like fridge magnets and postcards cost 75% less at local markets than at the airport.
– Some places in Bali are more expensive than others. For example: Sideman and Ubud were much cheaper than Canggu.
