Did Bitlocker suddenly appear on your laptop even though you don't see it and never knowingly set it up on your computer and crashed with some sort of truncated encryption message???
Here's how to remove it in minutes! Restart the system*
At the Dell logo, continue to press F2 (or the appropriate key for your PC, perhaps DEL or ESC)*
You will enter the BIOS screen*
Go to the Secure Boot header, expand and select Expert Key Management*.
Click the Restore Settings button*
Select factory settings*
Press OK*
Exit BIOS and reboot
You might also want to try finding the key in your MS account.
Log in to your MS account and go to Devices, see if you are assigned a key, some hardware manufacturers enable the feature when you update the BIOS.
