If I am to believe several of my cookbooks boeuf bourguignon is not exactly a Burgundian dish. Of course chefs have been making boeuf bourguignon or boeuf à la bourguignonne or even beef bourgogne as it is sometimes called for generations in Burgundy but so have chefs all over France and the rest of the world.
