It's Alive – PLFAs – Kate

During her undergraduate studies at Messiah University Camryn studied English and Public Humanities as well as digital marketing. She served as a senior fellow at the university’s Center for Public Humanities for three years. In that role she had the privilege of connecting with Harrisburg’s diverse community through projects focused on racial justice and historical movements. Additionally Camryn made a conscious effort to expand her passion for food and social justice through courses in food insecurity psychology and nutrition.

In 2020 Camryn received the Girl Scout Gold Award for her mental health blog Not All in My Head. The award led to a television interview with PHL17 and several other news outlets. More recently Camryn rebranded her blog as Taste of Mindfulness.

Camryn has worked in communications roles at several nonprofit organizations in Brooklyn New York and Harrisburg Pennsylvania. She also provides freelance editing and tutoring services to individuals of all backgrounds and ages.
