Yams and sweet potatoes are an essential part of any holiday meal. Mashed glazed or incorporated into sweet casseroles there are many ways to prepare these flavorful and nutritious root vegetables. While not common outside the U.S. the combination of yams and marshmallows has long been a favorite seen most often during the holidays especially on Thanksgiving tables across the country.
