Dr. Tavares' reading devices of choice for reading books are the Kindle Fire HD using immersion reading (Whispersync for Voice) or the Boox Palma e-reader using the Kindle app, also using immersion reading ( https:// www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId1000827761): professional narration is used alongside the eBook file, and therefore allows a very clear voice to be synchronized with the text. It's only available for a fraction of Kindle e-book titles at this point: around 100,000 titles according to Amazon's website. Please visit amazon.com for more information about “immersion reading” (Whispersync for Voice) and e-books available for immersive reading. IMPORTANT NOTE: As far as I know, for the "Immersion Reading" feature to work and to have broader access to audiobooks, the Kindle Fire HD must be registered with Amazon.com, not Amazon.ca. However, not all books can be read with immersion reading (Whispersync for Voice). These other books, I read them either with the usual text-to-speech function of the Kindle Fire HD (function available for texts in several languages, including English, French, Portuguese and Spanish), or with my Boox e-reader Palma using the Kindle app (as shown in this video), or the screen reader feature of the iPhone or iPad.
