My passion for gastronomy started at a young age. I would watch my mother cook and go with her to our local market to buy ingredients. When I started copying what she did in the kitchen I was hooked.

It was an obvious choice for me to go to culinary school and I subsequently developed my technical skills personal style and taste whilst travelling and working throughout Asia and encountering an exciting mix of cultures.

TURK is my homecoming. After being away from Türkiye for many years I decided that I had to go back to my roots and reconnect with the cuisine and culture of my country. We are pioneers of a ‘New Turkish Cuisine’. By researching gastronomic traditions we create dishes that look back to the past so that we can look forward to the future. For example Tarhana is a kind of soup base that is unique to Turkish cuisine.
