This is a version of the popular snowball cookies. Cherries coconut and walnuts are added. They are easy to make not too sweet and give a nice festive pink color on the inside due to the addition of the chopped maraschino cherries.

Cherry Snowball Cookies
1 ¼ cups powdered sugar divided
½ cup butter softened
1 cup all-purpose flour
