Chicken Milanese refers to the city of Milan in Italy where the dish is believed to have originated. The dish consists of breaded and pan-fried chicken fillets usually served with a salad and a generous squeeze of lemon. Here we’re (mostly) sticking to tradition but skipping the pan-frying and baking the chicken in the oven. Preheating the pan will give you a nice crispy crust on one side so it’s important not to skip that step.
