Don't they say you have to calm a cold?

I don’t get sick very often but this week I’ve been feeling a little down. It’s not the worst ever – it’s lingering… and it’s also hungry. Lately I’ve been craving food that’s hot cold and really salty (you know so I can taste things).

My sore throat and I were on Pinterest the other day and were inspired by this soup and this one too. I read somewhere that garlic lemon and steam help cure coughs and colds so this broth soup was a perfect fit. I didn’t want to need cheese for depth of flavor so I thought I’d use miso instead which – bonus – is also healing. (I added a little pecorino at the end for extra rich saltiness but that’s totally optional.)
