So I decided not to delay the inevitable anymore and do a full reset of Windows 11. However, I can no longer simply reinstall Windows on that same sized SSD, because I'll just run into the same problem after a while. one moment. So I decided to buy a 1TB SSD and reinstall my Windows on it. The SSD I purchased is a Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 inch SSD which only cost me 85 AUD (63 USD).
After purchasing the SSD, I decided to completely remove my old SSD and install my new SSD. This means that when the computer starts up, it will not detect any operating system. To install Windows on the new SSD, you will need to save the operating system to a USB drive. You can download a Windows 11 bootable disk from the Microsoft website β all steps shown in this video.
After installing Windows OS on the new SSD, it's still a bit scary whether it will recover my old product key, because I don't know my product key and can't enter it. Luckily, after a few careful clicks, I managed to recognize the computer I'm using and so it activated Windows on its own without me having to enter the product key. Yay.
Good video and see you next time π
