Converting an Apple Imac into a Monitor – A Nice Build!
I had an old broken iMac 2011 27/" (A1312) with a good screen, I just needed some work to bring it back to life. I couldn't bring myself to get rid of this wonderful piece of kit. So after a little research a project was born I converted it to my new studio screen to film these videos and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

To fix this you will need a suitable Torx set containing T8/T9 and T10 (mainly T10) bits, in terms of tools that's it.

As for parts, you will need an HDMI/VGA controller board, but please check that it fits your monitor as described in the video.

This is the one I bought: http://shorturl.at/sHJK6
