Copy/Paste text into ChatGPT with THIS Mac keyboard shortcut! #shorts

If you copy/paste text into ChatGPT, save time and clicks with this Mac shortcut!

I came across this article on ZDNet that talks about the Logitech MX Keys S feature. MX Keys S has a new feature called Smart Actions. You can pre-record keystrokes and inputs and essentially set up custom routines that can be triggered with a single key press.

The author of this article called a routine "ChatGPT Input". This routine copies the text, opens a new tab in ChatGPT, waits a second for ChatGPT to load, then pastes the prompt and hits Enter.

I don't currently have this keyboard, but I figured it was something that could be easily replicated in the Mac Shortcuts app.

I created a Mac shortcut that I assigned to a keyboard shortcut key: F16 in my case.

This shortcut only uses 3 actions:
1️⃣ Copy to Clipboard
2️⃣ Open URLs
3️⃣ Run AppleScript

The Run AppleScript action is used to mimic paste (V) and return keystrokes.
