how to use the COUNTIF function in Microsoft Excel. This tutorial shows how to use Excel COUNTIF with an easy-to-follow example and walks you step-by-step through the different options when entering your formula.

How to count several criteria?
Step 1: Document the criteria or conditions you want to test.
Step 2: Type “countifs(” and select the range you want to test the first criteria on.
Step 3: Enter the test for the criteria.
Step 4: Select the second range you want to test (it may be the same range again or a new one)

COUNTIF function
Select a cell.
Type COUNTIF.
Double-click the COUNTIF command.
Select a range.
Type ,
Select a cell (the criterion, the value you want to count)
Press Enter.

COUNT(range) , only counts numbers.
COUNTA(range) , counts everything except white.
COUNTBLANK(range) , counts only blanks.
COUNTIF(range, condition) , counts if matches the condition.

The 1-count formula is used to count the number of cells
2-CountA formula is used in number, text, symbol without empty cell
The 3-Countifs formula is used in numbers depending on several conditions
4 -Countblank formula is used to count blank cells
