I love cranberries. I love that their arrival in the produce aisle is the natural equivalent of the growing supply of stockings and corn on the cob that I suddenly see everywhere. And what I love most about them is how American they are. Although I have traveled far and wide and for a long time I have never seen the fresh patriotic little berry anywhere but on our own continent. They are simply everything that Thanksgiving is to me and because it is my favorite holiday cranberries hold a prized place in my heart.
