Mushroom cream soup
Cream of mushroom soup has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. Growing up it was of course Campbell's and it came in a can.
But even as an 8-year-old I found it very special to heat up soup myself and discovered how much tastier it was if you added milk instead of water. I also discovered how important it was to add the milk slowly and while stirring so that no lumps would form.
As an adult I still love mushroom soup and like to make it myself with lots of fresh mushrooms shallots garlic chicken stock and cream. Many people add a dash of sherry or nutmeg to mushroom soup.
