In this video we use our Fasthosts VPS platform to host the server, and although this is a recommended method, you should be able to follow this guide on any Ubuntu server.

Before you begin, you will need:

A computer running Ubuntu (you can also use a VPS)
Stable Internet connection

Installing Java:
apt install openjdk-17-jre-headless
Opening port 25565:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp –dport 25565 ACCEPT
Minecraft server files:
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server
