Tahini is the Arabic name for ground sesame seeds and is a popular ingredient in Middle Eastern cuisine.
In our search for the origins of tahini cookies we discovered that the treat is popular in Israel and a version called tahini kurabiyesi is popular in Turkey. While we’ve never been lucky enough to try either version we’re a little obsessed with tahini (and cookies!) so we couldn’t resist creating a treat that combined the two.
