Enable desktop notifications in Gmail

If you want to be notified every time you receive a new email or chat message, we suggest enabling desktop notifications for Gmail. When enabled, a pop-up will appear on your desktop. So even if you don't check Gmail, you'll still be able to tell if someone is trying to contact you.
