Your Apple Watch doesn't need to only display time, dates, and notifications. It can also help you quickly plan your fishing trip. Suppose you are at work, almost finished your shift, in a cafe with your friends, or when your car has stopped at a traffic light, then you suddenly want to go take a quick look, you take a look at your watch, check the wind direction and strength, then off you go to your favorite place.

As a light lure fisherman, this has helped me on many occasions. Knowing the direction and strength of the wind is important to me, so it can save me travel time to a certain location. I no longer had to take my phone out of my pocket just to check this information. It tells me almost everything (except the tides, there is a paid application for that)
