All of these board games are FUN and ENGAGING for all ages. They support educational themes in science and history, but above all, they are designed to simply be great games.

Some of these games will be difficult to learn and play with your children. In general, as the educational content of a game increases, so does its complexity. Throughout the video, I do my best to be very clear about which games are easiest to teach and which are not for the faint of heart.

The games in this particular list are aligned with Cycle 2 of Classical Conversations, which is a Christian homeschool curriculum. I don't use this program myself (in fact, my own children go to public school) but friends of mine requested this video and told me what they were looking for. The Classical Conversations Program is a six-year program. It has three distinct cycles that are taught twice, the idea being that students consolidate their understanding and familiarity with a topic when they revisit it. The emphasis is on memorizing facts.
