I have the Samsung Galaxy S23 here and in today's video I will show you how to uninstall the Galaxy Store app on your device. Not only will this process work for the base model here, but it will also work for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

This same process will also work for almost all Galaxy-branded Samsung smartphones and tablets and does not require root access.

If we try to uninstall this app through traditional means, you will notice that we don't have an uninstall option here like we see on other apps. If we go to the App Info page, you'll even notice that the opt-out option has been grayed out to try and prevent this from happening.

Luckily, we can run an ADB command that will uninstall this app from the default user so it's removed from our home screen, as well as our app drawer, it won't be able to launch at all, it therefore will not run in the background.

However, this requires you to install ADB and Fastboot tools on your PC, and enable developer mode and USB debugging mode. If you're not familiar with any of these things, be sure to check out the video description below as I will have a link to dedicated videos that I have already made that cover each of them.

However, I would like to give a little warning. Deleting the Galaxy Store app will prevent you from updating any apps installed from that source. It's usually not a good idea to have outdated apps on your smartphone or tablet, but if you're okay with that, we can continue

With all this setup, you can then connect your Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23 Ultra to the PC with a USB cable.

Now let's make sure that ADB has a stable connection with our smartphone by running the following command. . .
BAD devices

As long as you see your smartphone's serial number here, along with the word device, that means ADB is able to connect correctly. If you don't see this, make sure you have granted access to USB debugging mode on your smartphone, then try again. You may also need to install USB drivers, try a different USB port, or try an entirely different USB cable.

Once we have established an ADB connection via USB, we can then uninstall the Galaxy Store app from our Galaxy S23 smartphone.

This is done by first going into an ADB shell. . .
adb shell

And then type the command. . .
pm uninstall -k –user 0 com.sec.android.app.samsungapps

And then pressing Enter on the keyboard

If you see the Success message here, that means the command was entered correctly and you should no longer see the app icon on your home screen or in your app drawer.

This effectively uninstalled the Galaxy Store app from the default user account, which is why we can no longer see it on our Galaxy S23 here.
