Professor of “German as a foreign language” at the University of Heidelberg and became a professor in the United States and Mexico. Has been working in the DAAD for the North Latin America, Central America and Caribbean region since 2006 and since 2014 he has been director of the DAAD offices in Mexico City. Its central themes concern internationalization, research cooperations, cooperative study models, international project management and intercultural communication.
The Oficina Regional del DAAD in Mexico is the direct contact to answer all questions related to scientific and academic exchanges between Mexico and Germany. The regional director since 2014 has been Dr. Alexander Au.
The DAAD enables young people inside and outside Germany to gain international experience in study or investigation studios. Most of the extranjeros del DAAD are Master and Doctorate students. The offer is focused on graduates, as they have done the first studies of their academic ability and can benefit more from an undergraduate. Therefore, the DAAD is open for a first bachelor's university career only for the best students from German colleges abroad.
