The third (and likely final) design video Google made ahead of the October 6 event is for the Pixel 7, as it looks like the smaller phone – in addition to the larger one – will be unlocked.

Google opens with the Lemongrass Pixel 7 with its predominantly light yellow glass back and equally light gold/copper camera bar that blends into the side rails, which aren't all black this year. We get a good look at the matte aluminum texture, with the company using the tagline "Sophistication comes to #Pixel7."

From this video alone, the Pixel 7 does indeed look more refined than last year's Pixel 6, which seemed very utilitarian. Namely, the camera bar protruded far too far from the back. That seems to be the case again this year, but the sloping sides might help. Another photo then shows more of the screen, highlighting how much more blocked it will be than the Pixel 7 Pro.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro arrived on the Google Play console for developers this morning. We get further confirmation that there is 8GB of RAM on the smaller phone, while there is 12GB on the larger device.

The Pixel 7 has a 10802400 display with 420 DPI, while the 7 Pro is 14403120 at 560 DPI. Both phones obviously launch with Android 13, but only the more premium unit has UWB (ultra-wide band, android.hardware.uwb), which matches the FCC filing.

As strongly suggested by our dive into the Android 13 QPR1 beta, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will have face unlock, specifically android.hardware.biometrics.face
