Google rolls out Pixel, Chromecast, Home and Wi-Fi tech devices

Google is having its big fall event today and we're expecting big things from Sundar and company. Topping the list: the new Pixel phone — or new phones, as two sizes are expected — and the rollout of Google Home, an AI-powered, voice-controlled home robot that will take on Amazon's popular Alexa home assistant.

Also possible: a new 4K HDR Chromecast device called Ultra, which seems to be a popular name these days. Another new thing from Google that could debut? Google Wi-Fi, a modular smart home wifi system that can be easily expanded to cover your entire home and works great with things like, say, Google Home, your Chromecast, and maybe a few new Google phones . Imagine that.
