I rarely cook mixed grains because I feel compelled to cook each grain in a separate pot – one pot for barley one for rice one for millet etc. No one here looks forward to doing the dishes. It's bad enough scrubbing one pot of rice let alone a whole pot. Each grain takes a different amount of time to cook hence the need for all those pots – or so I thought.
