I found this in a bunch of recipes my husband’s aunt sent me. I tried it once and it became an instant family favorite. I save it and use it in the summer when the beans are freshest. That way we have something to look forward to every summer. I often double this recipe so my kids have plenty to have left over! You can make this ahead of time but make sure the casserole is at room temperature before baking. I often use a mixture of both green beans and snap beans in the casserole.

3 cups cleaned green beans halved
3 slices of bacon diced
6 green onions finely chopped
