An online meeting to launch you into the Hacktoberfest challenge. Hacktoberfest encourages participation in the open source community. No contribution is too big or too small. Come learn how you can be part of the open source movement or simply find people to hack with.

Presenters:
Wendy Kong is a software developer who has experience maintaining websites and creating new features for businesses and startups using modern technologies. In her spare time, she enjoys doodling and creating fancy things with CSS.

Jean F. Queralt is the founder and CEO of The IO Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates for data-centric digital rights. Disturbed by the level of intrusion of technology into citizens' lives, he took the plunge in 2018 by creating the TIOF to establish a stronger, more focused direction for addressing digital rights from a technical standards perspective.

Husein Zolkepli is the founder and CTO of Mesolitica Sdn Bhd, a software engineer specializing in Big Data pipelines, real-time processing and natural language processing. He created and maintains Malaya (https://malaya.readthedocs.io/en/latest/), a Bahasa Malaysia Natural-Language-Toolkit library powered by Deep Learning Tensorflow. He also has strong experience leading teams in the adoption of new technologies.

Yue Lin Choong is the director of Women Who Code Singapore. She is also the Project Manager of Healthcare ASEAN (https://github.com/DataKind-SG/healthcare_ASEAN) since 2016. A seasoned software developer and qualified machine learning engineer since she obtained her master's degree in technology. She currently works as a Senior Software Development Instructor at Skills Union helping professionals transition into the software field.
