“What are you going to do with these?” the farm stand guy asked as I was fixated on these 3 beautiful golden tomatoes. This question always confuses me… I should have an answer but honestly I buy things on impulse and usually don’t think about what to make until later. And in this case these tomatoes were so spectacular that I knew I wasn’t going to “do” much.
"Um… I'm probably just going to slice them up and eat them…" He looked at me with a big grin as if I had just given the right answer. I could tell he was happy that his tomatoes were going to a good home. Then he told me that they would be perfect tomorrow but only tomorrow.
That's what I love about summer.
