Hershey warns of Halloween candy shortage l GMA
Buying Halloween candy super early—the candy you plan to hand out to the cute little ghosts and goblins in your neighborhood on Halloween—can be a risky decision. It’s hard not to rip open the bags just to get “just one” piece. Before you know it you’re back at the store to restock because all that Halloween candy you bought in August has somehow “disappeared.”
Candy manufacturers are well aware that many of us lack willpower and they happily send out Halloween-themed temptations to stores months in advance of the holiday. Like the fall treats that whisper “Don’t you want me in the 100-degree heat?” at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ bags of individually wrapped Halloween candy appear on store shelves in the dead of summer.
Our favorite candy makers are rolling out a bunch of new treats for the spooky 2024 season from a fall-flavored M&M’s to Twizzler’s first-ever Halloween candy to a spooky new Kit Kat and an all-new Reese’s peanut butter cup flavor. But there are also plenty of classics making a comeback for the season and we couldn’t be more excited.
