No need to buy it! How to make Brownie Brittle from start to finish
The fir eats / Diana Chistruga
In 1992 Sheila G. Mains craved a whole pan of crispy brownie edges. She took her family’s beloved fudge brownie recipe and spread it out in a thin layer. Then she broke it into crispy pieces. And so brownie brittle was born.
Although I missed the advent of this product while developing this recipe I did remember my mom bringing home a bag of Sheila G.'s Brownie Brittle from Costco. After watching countless seasons of Shark Tank I know that once your product is at Costco you've made it. It's a brilliant idea because most people myself included love and covet the corners of brownies that have a crunchy caramelized chewy texture to them contrasted with the soft fudgy center.
