Nocino is an Italian liqueur made from unripe walnuts that are still soft in their green shells. It is spicy sweet slightly bitter and delicious drizzled over vanilla ice cream or as an aperitif. The drink owes its name to the Italian word for green walnuts: nocino.
To make nocino the first thing you need to do is get green walnuts! I have never seen green walnuts at a market. It might be easier to find a friend with a walnut tree.
