Costco to provide easier access to weight loss drugs like Ozempic

Costco fans have come to love the department store giant for its quality products and discounted prices. Following the lead of many other major companies Costco is also expanding its services into specialized healthcare. The retailer recently announced a new partnership with online healthcare marketplace Sesame giving members access to weight loss management services including potential prescription medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy.
Through the program Costco members can subscribe to Sesame's Weight Loss Management Plan for a discounted rate of $179 for three months (or $60 per month). The subscription includes a live video consultation with a doctor who provides advice on diet and exercise a medical background check to create an individualized treatment plan and ongoing messaging support. After this evaluation the doctor can prescribe weight loss medications if deemed appropriate.
