The American Cleaning Institute recommends replacing towels frequently. We recommend washing them every three to five days. Depending on how you use the dish towel you may need to wash it more often. For example if you use a dish towel to mop up spills and messes we recommend replacing it with a clean one right away and washing it sooner so that bacteria doesn’t have a chance to build up. But if you’re not sure follow this motto: When in doubt replace it.
