WINDOWS 11 DARK THEMES – HOW TO ACTIVATE WINDOWS 11 DARK THEME
1. Click the search magnifying glass in the Windows 11 taskbar and type “themes” in the search box when it appears.
2. Select the “Related Themes and Settings” option when it appears, as shown in the video.
3. To select a new Windows 11 dark theme, find the “current theme” section
4. Left-click on the required dark theme to enable it
NOTE: You can further customize the background, sounds, color, and mouse cursor – options located to the right of the computer screen illustration at the top of the window. You can also get darker themes from the Microsoft Store by clicking "Browse Themes" in the current themes section. You should now be able to enable your dark theme in Windows 11.
HOW TO ACTIVATE DARK MODE ON WINDOWS 11 – PC OR LAPTOP
1. Type “dark mode” in the search box at the top left of the screen as shown
2. Select “Turn on dark mode for apps” from the drop-down menu. Note that you can also select the "custom" option here
3. A window opens called “personalization and colors”
4. Next to the “Choose your mode” option, select “dark” from the drop-down menu to change from light to dark.
5. You should now have noticed a switch to dark mode on your Windows 11 PC/laptop/computer.
Note: To turn off Windows 11 dark mode, simply do the reverse: in the “Choose your mode” option, select “light” from the drop-down menu to change it from dark to light.
NOTE: VARIOUS ADDED OPTIONS AVAILABLE BELOW
TRANSPARENCY EFFECTS – You can enable this option to allow windows and surfaces to appear translucent.
ACCENT COLOR – You can set accent colors to automatic or manual. You can also choose custom colors. You can then use your chosen accent color on the start bar and taskbar as well as title bars and window borders – just turn "on" accordingly.
