Note that once setup, signing a document requires a 3-step process. For setup, please follow the step by step instructions below:-

1. Make sure the full version of Adobe Reader is installed
2. Open the PDF or Word document in Adobe Acrobat
3. Click Tools on the main menu
4. in the Search Tools box, enter: Numeric
5. Now you will see the certificates below, click on the Digitally Sign button on the right side.
6. Create an area where you want to sign the document, i.e. left-click, hold, drag the mouse down to the right and release.
7. On the next screen “Set up a digital ID for signing”, click on the /“Create a new digital ID/” option and click on the /“Continue/” button
8. Enter your name, address and email information and click the /"Save/" button when you are finished.
9. Now select the ID to use and click on the /"Continue/" button
10. To add a signature image, click the /"Edit/" button
11. Click on the /"Draw/" icon, if an image is already present to delete it, click again on the /"Text/" then /"Modify/" buttons
12. Draw your signature
13. Click the /"Save/" button
14. Click on the /"Sign/" button
15. Save your PDF under a new name, for example example-signed.pdf

Finished.

The next time you need to sign a document, you can simply click "Sign Digitally" (step 5 above)
Select the area you want to sign on the PDF page, choose the digital identification signature to use and click /"Sign/"
That's it!

Extra Tip: To lock the file from further changes after signing, click the /"Lock document after signing/" checkbox on the /"Sign As/" screen.
