On computer (Web):
Log in to Facebook: Go to the Facebook website (www.facebook.com) and log in to your Facebook account if you are not already logged in.
Access account settings:
Click the downward-pointing arrow in the upper right corner of the Facebook page to open the account menu.
From the drop-down menu, select /"Settings & Privacy/", then choose /"Settings./"
Edit contact information:
In the left menu, click /"Contact/" to access your contact details settings.
Add or change a phone number:
Under /"Contact Information/", you will see options to add or change your mobile number. Click the /"Edit/" button next to the /"Mobile Phones/" section.
Add a phone number:
In the /"Mobile Phones/" window, click on /"Add a mobile phone number./"
Enter your mobile phone number in the field provided.
Check your phone number:
After adding your phone number, Facebook will send a verification code to the number provided.
Check your mobile phone for the verification code and enter it in the space provided on the Facebook page.
Click /"Continue./"
Privacy settings (optional):
You can customize who can see your phone number. You can set it to be visible to /"Public,/" /"Friends,/" /"Friends except,/" or /"Me only./" Choose the option that suits your preferences.
Save changes:
Click the /"Save Changes/" button to confirm adding your phone number.
On mobile (Android/iOS):
Open the Facebook app: Launch the Facebook app on your mobile device and log in to your Facebook account if necessary.
Access account settings:
Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the lower right corner to open the menu.
Scroll down and tap /"Settings & Privacy/", then tap /"Settings/"
Edit contact information:
In the /"Privacy/" section, tap /"Personal information./"
Add or change a phone number:
Under /"Contact Information/", you will see options to add or change your mobile number. Tap /"Add phone./"
Add a phone number:
Enter your mobile phone number in the field provided.
Check your phone number:
After adding your phone number, Facebook will send a verification code to the number provided.
