Samsung phones usually have the Samsung keyboard and Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard by default. They can be used with the Gboard and you can switch between them as you wish.
If you want to use Gboard, you need to download and install it from the Google Play Store. Once installed, grant the required permissions and switch to Gboard as your primary keyboard.
Once done, every time you type, the Gboard will be used. You can also customize Gboard by changing the theme, voice typing, slide typing and many other settings.
To switch between keyboards:
Go to “Settings”.
Go to “General Management”.
Tap “List of keyboards and defaults”.
Switch to the keyboard of your choice from the list.
