The "Hibernation After" setting in the Power Options window allows users to set the amount of time in minutes the computer is idle (idle) before automatically entering hibernation.

If it's missing on your PC, here's how to activate it.

First, click the Start button and type CMD.

From the available search results, right-click on Command Prompt and select the Run as administrator option.

Now copy and paste the following at the prompt and press Enter on the keyboard:-

REG ADD HKLM//SYSTEM//CurrentControlSet//Control//Power//PowerSettings//238C9FA8-0AAD-41ED-83F4-97BE242C8F20//9d7815a6-7ee4-497e-8888-515a05f02364 /v Attributes /t REG_DWORD /d 2 / F

Please note that you can copy the commands from this video description.

If you want to remove /"Hibernate after/" from Power Options in Windows 11 or 10, copy and paste the following and press Enter on the keyboard:-

powercfg -attributes SUB_SLEEP 9d7815a6-7ee4-497e-8888-515a05f02364 ATTRIB_HIDE
