How to adjust virtual memory settings in Windows?

The available virtual memory is controlled by a setting that you can adjust. If your level is consistently low, you should examine what you are using.

Virtual memory settings are buried in:
* Settings – About (right-click the Start button and click System)
* Advanced system settings
* Advanced tab
* Performance: Settings…
* Advanced tab
* Virtual memory: Change…
Exactly how you want to change the settings depends on the problem you're having, but more often than not, it's a sign that you're asking too much of your system or it has too little RAM.
