![How to allow Windows 11 to “archive or download apps” you don't use](https://ytimg.googleusercontent.com/vi/HG3G5C4brYU/hqdefault.jpg)
-Click the Start button and select Settings from the Start menu.
-In Settings, click Applications in the left column.
-Then click on Apps & Features on the right.
-Expand the More Settings section and select Archive Apps.
-Use the toggle switch to enable or disable the Archive Apps feature.
When enabled, Windows will automatically archive applications that you don't use frequently, freeing up disk space. If you decide to use an archived app again, simply click its Start menu shortcut, and Windows will download and install it on-demand from the Microsoft Store. Keep in mind that this feature only works with Microsoft Store apps and requires an internet connection to restore1. If you are using Windows 10, the process is similar2. Happy application management!
